1940s French Faience Blue and White Malicorne Plate by Emile Tessier
A lovely blue and white French Faience (glazed ironstone) Malicorne Plate by the famous French Ceramics manufacturer Malicorne and signed by Emile Tessier (TE) on the back.
Circa 1940s.
This beautifully hand made and hand painted plate in the Moustier style features a central bird figure in French dress and gorgeous scalloped edges with blue trim and various foliate.
A very desirable and collectible piece that would look lovely in a cabinet, on a shelf or as a wall plaque.
Malicorne, based in Northern France, is one of the oldest ceramics factories in France.
