1950s French Majolica Oyster Plate by Saint Jean De Britagne

$265.00

A striking French Faience Oyster Plate made by the French pottery workshop of Saint Jean de Britagne in western France, circa 1950s.

Signed and printed by maker on the back.

This vibrant plate boasts a color palette of mustard yellow, green and brownish black.

There are six wells with a center well for sauces or lemons all done in a mustard yellow and accented with greenery sprigs.

The plate is trimmed with a dark brown-black around each well and along the edge.

A well made thick and heavy plate for a collection or that next seafood dinner.

This item will be very carefully packaged and shipped with tracking to ensure it arrives intact.

DIMENSIONS- 10.5ʺW × 1.12ʺD × 10.5ʺH

Very good vintage condition with minor wear. One tiny nick on edge of well in the trim as noted in close up photo. Most likely from stacking plates. Does not detract from beauty of plate. All other white spots are reflections.
